Business owner, me?

Originally my plan was to do a few gigs a here and thereso I wouldn't need to work overtime or work for other caterers. I love cooking but I did not care for most coworkers, inept management and mismanaged catering gigs.

Fast forward to now. My few gigs are turning into consistent work.

Somehow I'm an actual business owner. I'm legit. I'm an LLC. I have business insurance I can take credit cards. A website with SEO's. Strangely enough I know absolutely nothing about running a business. But I'm learning. And I love learning so parts of this is cool. The actual part of receipts and taxes suck but no matter your political leanings the government will get you if you don't play nice.

I definitely need to learn more " business " stuff. The biggest reason being I love cooking. And that love is now a business. So I am the owner/Executive Chef of CheffingItUp and am excited about the future growth of my business acumen, cooking skills and making them one.

Lately marketing is what I'm wrapping my mind around. Lot's of new terminology and things I've never heard of. But since now I actually have growth ideas I need to market myself/business. Because anniversaries, bachelorette/ bachelor parties, birthday parties, business parties aren't just going to fall in my lap. I need to get the word out.

Once again no real purpose to this blog. Just the thought going through my head on a cold Saturday morning and doing business stuff today. My business because I'm a business owner. Damn straight
